Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Following our pick-ups this morning we will begin our journey south. We’ll have a lunch time stop at the Applegreen Service area near Castle Bellingham where restaurant and toilet facilities are available. Refreshed and ready to move on we will continue our journey and travel west towards Athlone a town on the border of County Roscommon and County Westmeath.
Our estimated time of arrival is 15:30hrs which will give us time to settle in before our first evening meal.

Day 2

Depart Hotel 10:00hrs
Today we will travel into Athlone our host town.
We’ll start the day with a gentle cruise and as we view Athlone from the River Shannon we can relax and enjoy morning tea on board.
(Included in our tour price).
For those looking for retail therapy, the town is packed with high street names and boutiques.
The life & soul of Athlone can be found in Europe’s oldest pub. Certainly worth a visit this 1000-year-old watering hole with riverside garden, found along Main Street is Sean’s Bar. It is situated close to Athlone’s 12th Century Castle again a lovely place to spend a little time.

Day 3

Why not relax and enjoy the hotels leisure facilities or a spa treatment? (May require pre-booking. Not included in price)

Day 4

Depart Hotel 10:00hrs
Time to say our good byes as we depart for the journey home. We’ll take a leisurely drive towards Mullingar, a lovely town where we will stop for some free time to stretch our legs. We’ll then move on through Meath and the county of Louth, towards the Applegreen Services at Castle Bellingham for a comfort break.
On then for the last stage of our journey north and to our first drop off point.

NB: Your driver will confirm/amend departure times as necessary for the duration of the tour.
