Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Following all pick-ups this morning, we’ll travel to Belfast to board the 11:30hrs Stena Line crossing to Cairnryan. We’ll then travel from Cairnryan to Gretna where we will have a comfort stop before continuing our journey down the M6 motorway to the 4-star Marriott Hotel, near Preston. Here we will have an overnight stop for dinner, bed & breakfast.

(Overnight bag recommended).

Day 2

Depart 09:30hrs
We will continue our journey today and make comfort stops at conveniently located service areas.We’ll be travelling in a south-easterly direction toward the town of Kings Lynn where we’ll have a lunch time break. This was one of England’s most important ports back in the 12th century and although the maritime heritage is still evident, there are many new buildings along with the traditional shopping areas in the town. From Kings Lynn we will resume our journey heading toward Norwich where we will be based at 3-star PROM HOTEL, GREAT YARMOUTH. It is situated on the sea front so many of the rooms benefit from views of the beach and the beautiful Golden Mile.

Day 3

Depart Hotel 09:00hrs
Our excursion today will take us for a short run out Cromer – the best spot for Crabbing in Norfolk. Here we will have free time – maybe you’d like to sample this delectable delicacy with its unique flavour. We will then travel for a visit to Houghton Hall – Built for Britain’s first Prime Minister, Sir Robert Walpole, in the 1720s, Houghton Hall is now home to the 7th Marquess of Cholmondeley – a descendant of Sir Robert Walpole – and his family. The Hall is set in extensive parkland, with its famous white fallow deer, an award winning Walled Garden, Model Soldier Museum, cafe and gift shop. An impressive permanent collection of contemporary sculptures is displayed in the grounds, and  major solo exhibitions by Anthony Gormley and Magdalene Odundo will be staged there in 2024.

Day 4

Depart 10:00hrs
Our half day excursion today will take us on a leisurely journey through part of the Broads. Our journey will take us through the Bure Marshes National Nature Reserve and seaside resort Caister-on-Sea before heading back to the seaside resort of Great Yarmouth for free time.

Day 5

Depart 09:30hrs
All too soon it’s time to say our good-byes and retrace our journey back as far as Preston. To break our journey we will have an overnight stop at the 4-star Marriott Hotel f or dinner, bed and breakfast.

Day 6

Depart Hotel 09:00hrs
After breakfast it’s time for the next stage of our journey home. We’ll travel North with comfort stops dependant on the flow of traffic. We’ll make a final comfort stop at the Gretna Green tourist area. A great location to purchase any last-minute gifts and avail of the facilities. Moving on then, we travel to Cairnryan where we will check in for the 15:30hrs crossing home to Belfast. And it’s time to say our fond farewells.
