The Red Lea Hotel is a stunning family-run hotel located on the beautiful Yorkshire Coast. We are not only close to the famous Esplanade and the picturesque South Cliff area of Scarborough, but also the beautiful beaches and spectacular gardens too.

Following our pick-ups this morning we will travel to the Stena terminal to check in for for the 07:30hrs ferry to Cairnryan. Moving south, we will stop for a lunch break at the Gretna Tourist Centre. We will then continue south making a further comfort break at the Scotch Corner services. Then the last stages of our journey to Scarborough where our expected time of arrival will be approximately 18:00hrs.
Depart Hotel 10:00hrs
Depart from the hotel this morning and travel to the beautiful City of York. One of York’s most famous landmarks and one of the best-preserved medieval shopping streets in Europe is the Shambles. With its cobbled streets and overhanging buildings it houses everything from cheerful cafés to quirky boutiques. With museums, galleries, and the beautiful Minster everyone should find something of interest to fill and enjoy their day.
Depart Hotel 10:00hrs
Our excursion today will take us out on a scenic drive via Pickering. We’ll travel to ‘Heart Beat Country’ and have a short visit in the little village of Goathland. We’ll then move on to the bustling seaside town of Whitby. The town maintains a distinct charm, with its narrow medieval streets & picturesque harbour. Here you will have some free time to explore.
Depart Hotel 09:30hrs
We will depart from the hotel to travel to the little village of Thirsk where we will stop for a short comfort break. We will then continue our journey continuing north towards Carlisle where we will have a lunch time break at the lovely Houghton Hall. Refreshed and ready to carry on we will continue on the last stage of our journey to Cairnryan where we must check in for the 19:30hrs ferry crossing home to Belfast.
