Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Following our pick-ups this morning, we will travel to Belfast to board the 11:30hrs Stena Line ferry to Cairnryan. From Cairnryan, we’ll begin our journey south making a comfort stop at Castle Douglas, if required, and continue to Gretna for a further break. Restaurant and toilet facilities are available here. We’ll then proceed on the next stage of our journey toward Penrith. We’ll then move onto the A66, travel towards Keswick and through the Lake District to Windermere.
We’ll be based on the shores of Windermere, on the outskirts of Bowness, at the beautifully located 4-star Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa Hotel. Our estimated time of arrival is 18:30hrs. Time to settle in, unwind and enjoy the stunning views.

Day 2

Depart Hotel 10:00hrs
Our excursion today will take us the short distance to visit the lovely town of Grasmere, where budding authors and poets are drawn to visit Dove Cottage, the family home of William Wordsworth. Town End, The Gingerbread Shop and Grasmere Chocolate Cottage are all attractions that draw tourists to this popular town. We will then move on to the quaint market town of Ambleside, home to one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District – Bridge House. Bridge House in Ambleside is one of the most iconic – and smallest – buildings in the Lake District.

Day 3

Today we‘ll travel the short distance into Bowness where we will have free time to explore at

Today our excursion will take us to Keswick, one of the most northerly towns of the Lake District, and where Thursday is Market Day. As one of the major tourist attractions in the Lake District, Keswick is surrounded by the incredible scenery of the Skiddaw Mountains and sits on the shores of the widest lake in the Lake District – Derwentwater. Free Time. We’ll then take a relaxing journey moving from Keswick up towards Ullswater and come down the beautifully scenic Kirkstone Pass.

Day 5

Depart Hotel 10:00hrs
It’s time to begin the journey home. We will travel North towards Cairnryan making a comfort stop as we cross the border into Scotland at the Gretna Tourist area.
Here we’ll have time to look for any last-minute gifts or avail of the restaurant and toilet facilities. Moving on then, to Cairnryan we will be checking in for the 15:30hrs ferry to Belfast, and it is time to say our good-byes.
