Day 1
Following our pick-ups, we'll proceed to Belfast for the 07.30hrs Stena crossing to Cairnryan. We’ll make comfort stops and have a lunchtime break as we travel north along the Ayrshire coast, and inland by-passing Glasgow and on through Alexandria. Refreshed and ready to move on we can sit back and enjoy the magnificent scenery as we travel along the shores of Loch Lomond, up through Glencoe and through the highlands to Fort William. We are due to arrive at the 3-star Alexandra Hotel at approximately 17:30hrs. Time to relax and enjoy our break.
1Day 2
Depart Hotel 10:00hrs
Today we will have an excursion to the seaside town of Oban. Nestled on the west coast it is larger than Fort William and is surrounded by miles of dramatic shores and beautiful countryside. It has developed into Scotland's most popular west-coast holiday town, a favourite for tourists. Free time to explore.
Day 3
Depart Hotel 10:00hrs
Today we will have an excursion - weather permitting, taking in the Nevis Range just north of Fort William. We’ll then move on to the attractive little village of Spean Bridge which is located at the southern end of the Great Glen. It is best known for its iconic Commando Memorial which commemorates Soldiers who fell during the 2nd World War. It stands west of the village in a beautiful location from where you can enjoy some amazing panoramic views. We’ll then move on towards Aonach Mor which is the home of the only UK Mountain Gondola. From here we'll travel back toward Fort William with a stop at the Ben Nevis Distillery one of the Oldest Distilleries in Scotland. We'll have a short tour and maybe get to sample a wee dram. (Included in tour price)
Day 4
FREE DAY - an opportunity to explore our host town of Fort William.
Day 5
Depart Hotel 09:00hrs
Time to depart and retrace our journey back via Glencoe and Callender, heading towards Cairnryan. We will make comfort stops and have a lunchtime break en-route as we make our journey today. Time then to check-in for the 19:30hrs Stena Line ferry back to Belfast. Time to say our fond farewells.
