Torquay - The English Riviera TLH

Day 1:

Chorley
Following our pick-ups this morning, we will travel to Belfast to board the 11:30hrs Stena Line ferry to Cairnryan. From Cairnryan, we’ll travel south making a quick comfort stop at Castle Douglas, if required, then swiftly continue our journey to Gretna for a comfort break. We will then proceed down the M6 motorway through England and make an overnight stop for dinner, bed & breakfast at the 4-star Park Hall Hotel near Chorley. Our estimated time of arrival is 19.00hrs. (Overnight bag required)

Day 2:

Chorley to Torquay
After breakfast this morning we will proceed on our journey south with our comfort and lunch time stops being dictated by the flow of traffic during this busy holiday season. We are due to arrive at the 3-Star Toorak Hotel at approximately 17:00hrs. This hotel resort is based just off the Belgrave Road and a stones throw from the sea front. A great place to relax for our summer holiday.

Day 3:

Brixham & Babbacombe
Our excursion today will take us to Brixham for a short visit and time to browse, before we move on to the popular little village of Babbacombe. Here again we will have time to stretch our legs. There is nothing quite like a Fish Supper by the sea - but watch out for the seagulls!

Day 4:

Plymouth
Our excursion today will take us to the Naval port city of Plymouth where many famous ships and sailors set sail for distant shores the most notable the Mayflower. Plymouth is known for its maritime heritage and Naval history, Devonport being the largest naval base in western Europe.

Day 5&6:

Free Days at Leisure
An opportunity to explore Torquay or the surrounding area at leisure. You may also wish to join in with the activities within the hotel complex, soak up the sun by the pool or a game of bingo?

Day 7:

Torquay - St Helen’s, Near Haydock
We will begin our journey, making comfort and lunch stops as we travel north via the motorway. Our stops will be determined by the flow of traffic as we move swiftly on. We will travel as far as St Helen’s, near Haydock where we will have an overnight break for dinner, bed & breakfast at the 4-star Mercure Haydock Hotel. (Overnight bag recommended)

Day 8:

Homeward Bound
After breakfast, once again, it is time to hit the road and travel to Holyhead in Wales where we will check-in for the 15:15hrs ferry to Dublin port.
We will make a quick comfort stop at the Applegreen Services, Castlebellingham (Euros recommended) before we cross the border into the North.And as we make the last stages of our journey together it is time to reminisce with our friends and say our fond farewells.
